EU-funded project
AI – Smart Port Transshipment
Co-funded by the European Union
The aim
AI – Smart Port Transshipment is a research and development project led by DMS LOGISTICS to develop artificial-intelligence models for port transshipment optimization. It aims to reduce non-productive container movements, improve the allocation of terminal space and resources, reduce congestion and help lower the carbon footprint of port operations.
Timeline and outputs
The project runs from 2 May 2025 to 30 June 2027. Expected outputs: validated enriched AI models, technical documentation and a final R&D report covering the project’s contribution to sustainable development. The product side is presented on our Transshipment strategy page.
The support
This project is co-funded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), operation SUD005006, and supported by Région Sud Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. Maximum ERDF contribution: €595,132.73, representing 45% of eligible project costs.
