About CSP Valencia Terminal

CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal is a subsidiary of COSCO, 4th world shipping line. It is a port of call for the world’s major shipping companies and has an important connection of feeder services between the Mediterranean and Africa. It has become the main gateway for containerized goods to the Iberian Peninsula as well as the natural port of the Spanish capital, Madrid. Its hinterland extends over a radius of 350 km and represents 55% of the Spanish FIP.

Challenge

Predicting Container Exit Sequences

The terminal lacked visibility on the exit of its import containers and wanted to use all available data to gain this visibility. The goal was to provide a supervision tool to the TOS operators and yard managers, enabling them to predict the exit sequence of containers and reduce non-productive moves.
